The Organic Farm Tours

“When we arrived at the farm we started with a tour through the garden to harvest our vegetables for cooking and learn how all these vegetables grow here in Bali.”

Stéphanie Flipo – Couples Cooking

Our farm tours offer a unique and educational experience for visitors.

This immersive tour grants you the chance to actively participate in the harvest of fresh produce directly from our gardens, providing a tangible farm-to-table experience.

As you meander through the farm, you’ll be introduced to a variety of plants, enriching your understanding of the complex ecosystem we’ve nurtured here, all while preparing you for the sophisticated culinary endeavors ahead in the advanced class.

The Cooking Experience

“The advanced class is great for anyone who loves cooking. You get to pick the dishes you’d like to make and you cut, prep and cook everything. “

Jessie Li – Couples Cooking

If you love food and want to learn more about cooking from Bali, an advanced cooking class is a great choice.

In this class, you get to pick the dishes you want to learn how to make. You’ll be right in the middle of it all, doing everything from chopping up ingredients to cooking the meals.

There’s always someone around to help if you need it, but you’ll be cooking most of the dishes. This makes it a fun and active way to learn.

Since these recipes can be pretty tricky and there’s a lot to prepare, these classes usually take longer than the basic ones.

All Recipes Can Be Adapted To Different Diets

From regular to vegan, and pescatarian to meat lovers, we cater to all food lovers seeking authentic Balinese and Indonesian flavors.

Let’s Get Cook!

You have the chance to learn and create 10 different local favorite dishes that we hand-picked plus mastering the basic Balinese spice paste. You will get to enjoy all the dishes that you have made yourself.

Start By Mastering Balinese Spice Paste

Master the art of preparing Balinese cuisine by learning the essential skills of selecting, chopping, and blending a variety of root spices, aromatic herbs, and seeds.

Transform these ingredients into a flawless Balinese spice paste, which will be the cornerstone for many of the dishes you’ll craft later.

Now let’s continue with

Making Sauce Or Sambal

We’ll focus on two popular types of sambal that locals in Bali often enjoy.

The first one is Sambal Mbe Goreng, which is typically used in a favorite Balinese dish called Lawar or Sayur Urab, which is like a Balinese salad. This sambal is often come as a condiments in Nasi Campur and almost every family loves it.

The second is Sambal Kacang, or peanut sauce. This sauce is usually served with skewered meat known as satay, but it’s also great with a dish named Tipat Cantok. Tipat Cantok is similar to another classic meal, Gado-gado, but it’s made with rice cakes and is unique to Bali.

*Or alternatively you can also select different sambal of Sambal Ulek or Sambal Matah

Now let’s continue with

 Making 3 Appetizers

Our cooking begins with the preparation of three renowned local specialties: a flavorful soup, a fresh salad, and a traditional side dish.

Gerang Asem, a classic soup from Bali, is known for its tasty mix of sour and savory tastes. The soup includes meat that’s been slowly cooked in a traditional Balinese spice paste.

Lawar, a traditional salad from Bali, is a flavorful mix of shredded coconut, finely chopped meat, assorted vegetables, and fried sambal mbe.

Pindang Base Tomat is a side dish made up of brine fish and then prepared with a sauce that has tomatoes as its main ingredient.
