Great Family Experience; Great for Vegetarians

We are a vegetarian family of four with two young children (grade school age). This cooking class was a great activity and learning experience, with great food at the end.

Overall, I highly recommend this class if you are interested in taking a cooking class in Bali, and doubly recommend for vegetarians.

The transport from the hotel and meeting spot was adequate though the van was a bit tight when full and we did have to wait for some late comers.

The market tour was ok, but if we were doing the afternoon class you’re not missing much.

The walk through the farm was fun, and giving the kids the experience of actually picking the food they cook and eat was cool.

After that, a lot of cutting, chopping and grinding. The kids loved this part though were pretty slow so thankfully the staff helped us to avoid slowing the group.

Then cooking, and finally eating — the food was delicious!

Overall everything went smoothly and efficiently — you can tell this group is experienced and great at what they do.

A Cooking Class to Beat All Others

Such a fun day with a wildly international group of students! The team at Bali Farm were charming and knowledgeable and patient.

We picked vegetable, toured parts of the farm, and cooked several dishes. Our favorite was the fried tempeh.

Even the rain didn’t undermine our pleasure. Thanks to Yogi and the rest of the gang for a terrific afternoon and to driver Augus for safely depositing us at our villa at day’s end. He masterfully negotiated the flooding waters and potholes in the dark.

Awesome experience of local food and people in a lush rural setting.

This is our 2nd go at a cooking class in Ubud & it was the best one. We did the afternoon class.

A nice drive out to the village seeing crafts people & Ceking rice terraces out the window.

Once there Beego was our friendly, humorous and knowledgeable cooking instructor.

A great wee tour round the farm. The program didn’t have so many dishes that they had to rush us through or take over unlike some other ones.

I liked the way we made 2 dishes then relaxed & ate them before making the rest. Awesome tasty fresh food – we did the vegetarian class and loved every dish.

On the ride back we saw more village life out the window.
