We run three hands-on Balinese cooking sessions every day:
- Morning Class: 07:30 to 14:00
- Afternoon Class: 12:30 to 18:00
- Evening Class: 16:00 to 21:00

- Morning is ideal if you like early starts and want more time in Ubud afterwards
Travel Time From Uluwatu
The drive from Uluwatu to our farm near Ubud is similar to other South Bali routes and usually takes:
- Around 2.5 to 3 hours in normal traffic
- Sometimes longer during busy periods or rush hours
To keep the journey easy and enjoyable, we suggest you combine the class with other activities in Ubud, rather than only driving to the farm and back.

Option 1: Ubud Sightseeing, Then Afternoon or Evening Class
This is the most popular plan for guests joining our cooking classes from Uluwatu.
How it works:
- Leave Uluwatu in the morning
- Spend a few hours around central Ubud, for example:
- Sacred Monkey Forest
- Ubud Palace and nearby temples
- Art markets and small boutiques
- Cafes, rice field walks, and viewpoints
- In the afternoon, your driver brings you from Ubud to our organic farm
- After cooking and your meal, drive back to Uluwatu
If you explore Ubud first, please arrive at the farm by:
- 13:00 for the Afternoon Class, or
- 17:00 for the Evening Class

Option 2: Morning Class, Then Free Time in Ubud
We can also make the Morning Class the starting point of your Ubud day.
How it works:
- Leave Uluwatu early and drive to Ubud
- Join our Morning Class with local market visit
- Finish cooking and lunch in the early afternoon
- Use the rest of the day to wander around Ubud
- Return to Uluwatu in the late afternoon or evening
This option suits you if you:
- Don’t mind an early start from Uluwatu
- Want to visit a traditional farmers market
- Like the idea of a long, slow afternoon in Ubud afterward

If you prefer a simple day without managing routes and timings, we can arrange transport for you.
From Uluwatu, Kuta, Seminyak, or Canggu, you can book:

Morning Class Itinerary (From Ubud Meeting Point)
If you decide to stay in Ubud the night before, you can use our free Ubud shuttle from our fixed meeting point.
1. Ubud Pickup
- Time: from 07:30 at the meeting point (or 07:45 at the market)
- Place: Dalem Puri Central Parking, Jalan Sukma (opposite Sens Hotel)
Our team members (Pak Tut Taro, Made, or Agus) will meet you there and help you get settled.
2. Local Farmers Market Visit
(Morning class only)
- Duration: around 30 to 40 minutes
- Market: Tegallalang or Pujung traditional market
At the market you will:
- See spices, fruits, vegetables, snacks, and offerings
- Learn what locals buy for daily cooking and ceremonies
- Taste local fruits and cakes as a light breakfast
- Take photos of real morning life in a village market
3. Organic Farm Walk and Harvest
After a 10 to 20 minute drive from the market, we arrive at the farm.
On the farm we will:
- Walk through our organic fields with a basket and small knife
- Show you the tropical plants, herbs, and fruits we grow
- Harvest some of the ingredients you will cook later
- Share Balinese coffee or herbal tea with you in a shaded spot
The farm tour usually takes 30 to 40 minutes.
Cooking Session: From Base Gede To Shared Feast
Hands-on Cooking Session
- Every two guests share one cooking station
- The cooking area is a wood or bamboo pavilion, surrounded by gardens and spice plants
During the class you will:
- Learn about Base Gede, the key Balinese spice paste
- Touch and smell each fresh ingredient before cooking
- Put on your apron and join in every step
- Chop, grind, stir, and cook each dish with our guidance
“Cook – Eat – Cook – Eat” Flow
We want you to enjoy each dish hot from the stove.
So during the class we:
- Cook a few dishes together
- Sit down and eat them as a group
- Return to the pans and prepare the next dishes
- Eat again, chat, and share stories around the table
