Mindful Balinese & Indonesian Cooked Cuisine

International retreat groups require menus that respect their dietary choices without losing local culinary authenticity. At Taman Dukuh, we specialize in adapting traditional Balinese and Indonesian home-style cooking into plant-based and gluten-free menus.

Our local chefs substitute commercial shrimp paste (terasi) and meat stocks with fresh roots, stalks, and aromatics to prepare a fully cooked, clean Base Gede spice paste. Rather than using processed fake meats, our menu focuses on cooked whole foods. Your guests will learn to prepare rich curries, traditional grilled satays, and spiced vegetable dishes using farm-fresh greens, tofu, and local tempeh.

*Dietary Notice: While we accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free lifestyles, our farm handles peanuts and wheat daily. We do not operate a certified allergen-free isolation facility.

Private Village Setup for Group Workshops

Our culinary school sits on a private family property in Taro Village, Gianyar. Your clients will work inside spacious, open-air wooden kitchen pavilions completely surrounded by active agricultural fields.

This peaceful countryside setting gives retreat leaders the space to connect their own daily workshops on mindfulness and sustainability with the local Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana (maintaining harmony between humans, nature, and the community).

Streamlined Logistics for Organizers

We manage all the logistical details behind the scenes so your retreat schedule runs on time. Guests work in pairs at dedicated cooking stations, ensuring the process remains hands-on, interactive, and collaborative.

We provide clear corporate invoicing, flexible start times to match your itinerary, and reliable communication via WhatsApp throughout the planning process.

Traditional Vegan & Vegetarian Menu

Accommodating Mixed Dietary Groups

If your cohort contains a mix of regular, vegetarian, and vegan participants, we organize your group across our wooden cooking pavilions accordingly. Vegan and meat-based ingredients are kept separate at the cooking stations so all of your clients can prepare their preferred menus side-by-side without administrative confusion.

(Dietary Note: While we regularly adjust our recipes to support vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free lifestyle choices, our facility handles peanuts, soy, and wheat daily. We do not operate a certified allergen-free isolation environment. Please ensure participants with severe, life-threatening food allergies are aware of this operational framework before booking.)
