During our Vegetarian Cooking Class in Ubud, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and prepare a variety of delicious, authentic Balinese vegetarian dishes. Our menu showcases the diverse flavors and textures of plant-based Balinese cuisine, featuring local ingredients and time-honored techniques.


A popular Indonesian salad made with a mix of blanched and fresh vegetables, tofu, and tempeh, served with a rich and savory peanut sauce.

Tempeh Asam Manis

Tempeh cooked in a sour and sweet sauce, showcasing the versatility of this protein-rich, fermented soybean cake.

Bumbu Bali

A fragrant Balinese spice paste that forms the base for many dishes, including curries, dumpling parcels, soup and fried. Learn to create this essential element of Balinese cuisine from scratch, using traditional grinding techniques and fresh ingredients.

Kare Vegetarian

A delectable Balinese vegetable curry, featuring a medley of vegetables, tofu, tempeh, and aromatic spices simmered in a rich, coconut milk-based sauce.


A traditional Indonesian cooking method where ingredients, such as tempeh or vegetables, are marinated in spices, wrapped in banana leaves, and steamed or grilled to perfection.


Delicious and hearty potato (or corn, or cassava) fritters made from mashed potatoes, vegetables, and bumbu bali (spices paste), which are then fried until golden and crispy.

Bubur Injin or Pisang Goreng

Two classic Balinese desserts to complete your culinary experience (depending on the group we will cook one of the dessert menu):

Bubur Injin: A warm and comforting black rice pudding cooked with coconut milk, pandan leaves, and palm sugar, garnished with a drizzle of coconut cream.

Pisang Goreng: Crispy banana fritters made by dipping ripe bananas in a batter and deep-frying until golden brown. A perfect sweet treat to end your meal.

  • Cancellation between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.

Lovely cooking class with a lot of various vegan options! The staff was super nice and gentle and also very helpful.

We had a wonderful introduction to all the veggies and spices on their farm before we started cooking. The ambience was calm and nice since the farm is located in a quiet area near Ubud.

It was super delicious and we also got a booklet to try all the recepies back home! Thank you <3

They Were Able to Accommodate My Vegan Diet

They were able to accommodate my vegan diet and were so considerate during the morning market tour; they gave me a heads up that we were approaching the meat section so I could go to a different part of the market.

Catered to All Foodies from Vegan to Vegetarian

Beautiful location for a cooking class. It was out on a farm away from all the noise.

We stopped by a local market to pick out fresh local fruit and cakes for our breakfast. We even got to pick our own ingredients from the farm for our lunch.

I appreciated how they catered to all foodies from vegan to vegetarian to meat eaters. Everyone on the farm was phenomenal.

I highly recommend booking a class with them.
