The Instruction Was Great and The Dishes Tasted Fantastic.

We booked the morning session and we enjoyed it very very much. We were given a tour over a food market and on the farm with lots of information. It could not have been better.

I am vegetarian, my fiancée is not and we were able to cook separately. The instruction was great and the dishes tasted fantastic. The atmosphere was perfect from the beginning to the end.

I can recommend 100%.

One of the highlights of our Bali trip and very vegan friendly

My husband and I are vegan and were a little apprehensive about doing this class, where some people might be cooking meat, over one that was fully vegan.

However, the class was extremely vegan friendly – the group was split at the beginning into vegetarians and non-veg (about 2 thirds of the group of 12 were vegetarian), all meat prep was done in a different room before being cooked in a different part of the open air kitchen, and all vegetarian recipes had a vegan version!

This was a really fun experience and we would definitely recommend it to anyone vegan, vegetarian or veg curious who is interested in learning more about Balinese food and cooking.

The staff gave lots of tips about translating the recipes to your own kitchen in your home country, including ingredient substitutions in case there are ingredients that are difficult to find at home.

The food we cooked was delicious and just the right amount too – enough that we tried lots of different dishes and were full enough not to need dinner or lunch, but not so much that we had to carry some back to the hotel (though there was the option to take some away – some less greedy than ourselves did take a little pack home!).

It was also a great opportunity to meet other travelers who were interested in learning more about the local culture!
