Beyond the Crowds: Why We Cook in Taro Village

While most classes are held in busy city kitchens, Taman Dukuh is located in the ancient village of Taro—the spiritual root of Ubud. This is the sacred path traveled by the priest Rsi Markandya, who brought the wisdom of agriculture to Bali.

When you cook with us, you aren’t just following a recipe; you are cooking in the same organic soil that has sustained Balinese families for centuries. It is “Old Ubud” as it was meant to be: lush, quiet, and authentic.
